Recording studio
residential in the heart of Perche

You put down your suitcases. You plug in your guitar. You don't leave until you finish the album.
That's what a residential recording studio is - and that's exactly what we've built here in Couëtron-au-Perche, among the fields and forests of Perche.
No shuttle. No urban background noise. No interrupted session because the last train is in twenty minutes. Just you, your music, and an environment designed so that nothing stops the creative momentum.

What exactly is a residential studio?
The question comes up often. A residential studio is not a studio with a sofa in the hallway.
It’s a place designed from A to Z so that recording and life coexist without friction. We sleep there. We eat there. We work when inspiration strikes - at 2 p.m. or 2 a.m. The boundary between the session and the rest of the day blurs, and that's precisely where the magic happens.
Registration, accommodation and meals: everything on site
At ZenViewStudios, the studio living room functions like a complete residence. The control room, cabins, live room, bedrooms and kitchen share the same area. You don't have to manage the logistics: we take care of it.
Meals prepared on site, common areas to unwind between shots, terrace with direct view of the countryside. The idea is to free up your mental energy to focus it where it counts - on your music.
Why the campaign changes everything to creativity
There's a reason why the most influential albums in rock history were recorded in the countryside. Real World by Peter Gabriel. Headley Grange. The Château d’Hérouville. Isolation is not a constraint – it is a tool.
Here, residential recording studios in the countryside offer something no city can duplicate: true silence. Not the relative silence of a soundproofed room surrounded by traffic, but the silence of a rural estate where the only background sound is the wind in the trees.
It changes listening. It changes the focus. And that changes what comes out of the speakers.
The estate runs 70% on solar energy.
Because recording in a place that respects its environment
is also part of the experience.

The studio equipment and spaces
We're not going to drown you in a list of references. What matters is what the hardware can do - and how it was chosen, maintained, and often improved internally.
Our philosophy: master each link in the chain. We maintain and modify our fleet ourselves, with real expertise in electronics and acoustics. It's not an accumulation of prestigious references - it's a coherent system, designed to find your sound.
The control room and consoles
The control room is the heart of the studio. We work with professional consoles that allow you to manage complex sessions without compromise - both analog and digital. The conversion chain is careful: Antelope Audio reference converters which preserve detail and dynamics at each step.
The acoustics of the control room have been treated to offer a precise stereo image and reliable listening over time. What you hear here is what will be on the record.
The recording booths
Several sound recording spaces, designed for various configurations: vocals, acoustic instruments, overdubs. Each cabin has its own acoustic character - from the driest space to the most naturally reverberant.
The direct view of the countryside from certain rooms is not an anecdotal detail. It changes the state of mind of a singer in front of the microphone. We saw it, session after session.
The live room (ERP)
For bands who want to record together, really. The live room allows you to capture a complete band with sufficient acoustic separation to maintain flexibility in mixing - without losing the energy of a collective recording, or even doing a "rural" concert because we are able to accommodate up to 49 people.
Drums, amps, acoustic instruments:
the space is sized to accommodate a live session without anyone sticking around.
Accommodation: sleep in the studio
A residential recording studio without proper accommodation is useless. We therefore took as much care into the rooms as into the management.
Rooms and capacity
The estate can accommodate up to 6 musicians in on-site accommodation. Comfortable rooms, common spaces to meet up (or isolate yourself), and an atmosphere that feels more like a country house than a hotel.
The idea is for everyone to be comfortable staying focused on the project - not on the logistics of the next day.
On-site catering
Meals are prepared on site by our pastry chef. No restaurant to reserve, no delivery to wait for. We eat local together, we talk about the project, we go back to the session. It’s a detail that changes everything to the rhythm of a residence.
And for evening sessions: your own kitchen is accessible 24/7. No one goes home hungry after a successful midnight catch.
1h30 from Paris, in the heart of Perche
ZenView Studios is located in Couëtron-au-Perche, in Loir-et-Cher, on the edge of Perche. A land of valleys, forests and silence - less than an hour and a half from Paris.
The journey? Paris Montparnasse → Vendôme TGV in 40 minutes, then a short drive to the estate. No need for a car from Paris. You can come by train with your instruments and your suitcases, and be in session two hours after leaving the capital.
This is what makes ZenView a residential studio near Paris in its own right – the total immersion in the countryside, without the logistical isolation that puts off some artists.
